I’m fairly new to the process….how does it help you to know that there will be 1 SmartSource and 1 Red Plum coming in tomorrow’s paper?
By knowing what coupons are coming out ahead of time allows you to plan your Sunday shopping if there are certain sales you think you may want to hit. It also allows you to decide in advance if you want to load up on newspapers because you see coupons excite you.
For the most part, I have noticed that the best sales for coupons are typically the week they come out OR the week they expire. Of course this is not rule; just an observation. Somestimes these hot sales for coupons that just came out will sell out fast leaving you to check back or obtain a raincheck. If you knew it was coming, you could have beat the crowds.
If you purchase your paper and then don’t review the coupons until Monday (because it’s been a busy day), it will be too late to get more if you see some that you wish you had more of for possible sales. At this point, you will have to turn to the clipping services for sure to obtain more if desired.
