We got new touch screen cellular phones in June. We were so excited to upgrade but we found ourselves really conflicted with which phone to go with as there were pros and cons to each option.
Either we:
- Stay with our current provider (so so coverage) but more minutes for the buck (grandfathered account) and we could keep our cellular phones on one bill with our home phone and internet. The less bills coming in, the better.
- OR – Switch to AT&T and get the Internet Printable Couponhone. Less minutes for the same money (but you get roll over minutes, free AT&T calls and 10 non-AT&T numbers that are always free).
Well, we opted to stay with our carrier, but have since had so many issues with our new phones (mine in particular). While I would love to go ahead and switch, we have not because I don’t want to pay for new phones all over again in the switch.
Today though, I think I have just discovered our way out and I have to share this with you!
FLIPSWAP.COM works with AMAZON.COM customers and allows you to trade in your cellular phone and possibly get an Amazon gift card in the process! I thought that I would humor myself since our phones are still a new product and can you believe we can get $81.10 for EACH of our phones! If we get the $99 Internet Printable Couponhone 3G, we will net at just $17.90 each after gift card.
I think we might take advantage of this offer. We will go ahead and get the new phones, mail our old ones back (FREE) and then we should have our gift card for $162.20 in about a month. We can then use this gift card for my son’s birthday in the late spring to knock out his gifts! hmmmmm….I am seriously considering this!!!
