The post for the Kroger water deal is such a mess that I thought I would post the updated information here – in a clean format. In the 1.5 years I have been doing this, I have never had a post turn out like that one – LOL!
$3.49 – Ice Mountain Water (24 pk) at Kroger
-$0.50 – If you buy it as a part of the Mega event
=$2.99
If you buy in the quantities listed, you will get a catalina back:
- Buy 2, get $2.00 off your next order
- Buy 3, get $3.00 off your next order
- Buy 4 or more, get $5.00 off your next order
A case of water for $1.99 NET is a great deal!

There was also an error on the posting for the special offer with Light My Fire Candles for Nickel-n-Dimes readers. I noted that you would get a 15% discount, but the deal is actually even better with FREE shipping on any order of $15 or more. This includes sale items! GO HERE for the original post.

You are about to see why I not only LOVE Kroger, but why the $5.oo Mega Events are my ALL TIME FAVORITE SALE of any store around. I have been given the opportunity to team up and take a large donation from Cincysavers.com and see how far we can stretch this amount. (I have to note here that Bonneville International, home to Cincysavers, is one of the most generous and community minded companies around!)
So far, I have spent approx $65, saved approx $415! That’s not even the tip of the iceburg though. By time LMKIA adds in the coupons she’s collected and we bring together everything (including special order items), we are sure to blow everyone’s minds (maybe even our own).
By searching and planning, we found special coupons for FREE soup WYB crackers, FREE soda WYB paritipating Kraft items, and so much more. Add these kinds of coupons onto the already SMOKING HOT deals and it gets exciting fast.
I am preparing a special posting on this. I just emailed my special order over to my local store (AKA: heaven). They have allowed us to order in large quantities to help get even more for the Brighton Center! GO KROGER!

Hey I am wondering if you have experienced any problems @ Kroger lately. I shopped @ the Kroger in Walton on Wednesday evening and was told @ checkout that I was limited to 10 of the same coupons. Never had this problem before. Spoke to the manager and he wouldn’t let me either. Said there is too much coupon fraud and he has the right to limit the quanities that customers buy despite the unlimited double coupon verbage. He said I may purchase more than 10 but can only use 10 coupons…which totally doesn’t make sense to me. I have shopped pretty much every Kroger in the area and Mt Zion being probably the smallest but will order me whatever I want and allow how ever many coupons. I’m just puzzled!
Becky,
Just wanted to thank your sponsor at Cincysavers, too. I also want to thank Heather (LMKIA), who is also involved in this collection for Brighton Center. I know she led several drives in the past few months, also a hugely inspiring person who is always GIVING too!! This shows how we can use our time and energy to “give”, even when we our funds are limited!! Go ladies!!
Nakia,
*What are you doing coming to MY store lady!??* LMAO Stay at your own stores! Just kidding of course!
I am glad you brought this up. I never buy more than 10 items of any certain item at a time so I do not come into any problems with. Well, not until I talked with the Walton store about doing the special order for this project with Cincysavers.
It was at that time that the manager told me that they were not allowing more than 10 coupons of the same type. I asked if this was a new corporate policy or just this store’s new policy. He never really gave an answer – just said that 10 was the limit; which every store always reserves the right to limit.
I told him that this adventure was cleared by corporate and had to obtain the contact info for him. When I got to the register, I had 15 items with the same coupon, but the items were not the same. I had 5 small Dixie plates, 5 lg Dixie plates and 5 Dixie bowls – but they all went off of the same coupon. I told the girl that there may be a problem, but that the manager said it would be ok today. The register never beeped and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about.
The manager told me that they have had a horrible time with people coming in with GOBS of coupons and clearing out stock. Knowing this store and it’s staff, I believe him that this must really be a problem for them to have issue with it.
I only came to the Walton store (your store LOL) in order to cash in some of my gas rewards. Otherwise I would of stayed at my teeny tiny Mt Zion store who LOVES to order things for me. The cashier at the Walton store had no idea about the limit and was only told after scanning all my coupons and needing a key to finish (which actually is triggered when using more than 100 coupons I believe…not all the same of course) I generally don’t buy 10 of the same itemunless I preorder it but needed to get 11 to get up to my rewards due to low stock of something else. But now for future reference for myself I won’t go to Walton. I believe its just the Walton store….
I am cracking up Nakia. If I had to shop at that store in Mt. Zion, I’d be looking elsewhere too. My blood pressure goes up when I enter YOUR store! The parking lot does me in before I even enter the building. EY!
I think it is just the Walton store too. Do you know which manager you talked to? Jim and Jeff seem to be very nice and helpful and I know that they have been there since they opened.
Nakia…you know…I live VERY close to that store. You should visit sometime or at least call and I’ll come hang out with ya.
I have saved an unbelievable amount of money in the 2 weeks since I started couponing (thanks to your site and the SMW site)! My $200 and some change order rang up to $18.24 (and I have a mail in rebate for $25 worth of coupons from ConAgra)!
Our shelves were bare and we have been eating Ramen Noodles for lunch and supper for a LONG time now (I mean we have had spaghetti or occasionally something different but man it seemed like noodles and eggs were the main staple of our diet). I always bought generic because it was cheaper, but now that I am couponing, it is actually cheaper (if not FREE) to buy name brand!
I took advantage of the Hormel Chili coupons (the Chili Masters and the regular ones) at Kroger and the cheese deal at Meijer the other day (with the $5 back catalina) and fed my family of 5 a HUGE supper of chili, cheese & tortilla chips (fiber, protein, calcium AND flavor) for approx. $2.11 TOTAL…and we had LEFTOVERS!
I <3 Kroger and I <3 all the wonderful women such as yourself who help make it all make sense!
