Can you tell that I am just not feeling the color of the background we had here? The “reddish” color that matches the header just made the page seem heavy and I really want to try and get away from that feel. I don’t know what color to do, but at the present time, I have just decided to try out a few other colors in case something else grabs my interest.
Bear with me and if you see a color that you like or think of a color I should try out, please let me know!
Sometimes simple little things – really aren’t simple little things!

What about using two versions of the blue in your eyes?
You could play around with this cool color wheel:

Just Spin and Hold the color you want. Keep spinning and come up with different examples. I would write down the Color Code for testing out other theories – there are millions of colors and you might never find “just the right color” that once caught your eye! Let me know if this helps!
Try using one of the existing colors in the header. The golden stripe or the lighter green from your logo would tie everything together but still have a lighter feel.
I really loved the older gold design background. If you want to stick with a solid I think a golden shade would made everything else pop without overwhelming the senses.
Purple represents wealth and according to chinese culture it draws good money energy to you
Here is a four color test site:

Now this I love with the gold with green accent dots and the red trim! It draws my eyes around the page.
I have decided to put the old background back up for now – this is from before I stitched to Thesis. This was a challenge. If you have been around for a little while, you know that I am not overly computer savvy, but I have learned a TON by just taking my time and figuring my way around things.
Little by little – I always manage!
Funny to think that just 1.5 years ago, I did not even know what a blog was or if coding was called HTML or HMTL! LOL
I really love the gold design with the green dots. It’s simple but stylish. Perfect for us frugal gals!
I’m liking the white background. Simple and easy on the eyes!
Tanya, I did like the white background and before there was color, I was getting 50/50 reviews. As soon as I added the “reddish” color, everyone liked it, but for me, it was too heavy feeling. I am now trying to make some golden tones that have texture without it being hard on the eyes.
By time I figured out how to change the background (this is all very new to me with Thesis), I was whooped and decided to wait until today to mess with new creations.
Thanks for your input!!! I really like getting other’s thoughts.
What do you think of this background?
Medium Gold Hatch marks would be my second choice. Maybe if it was slightly lighter. LOL I know easier said than done as I am not proficient with HTML.
