Your first thought may have been excitement after reading the title of this post, but let me assure you; your excitement might be better if kept for something truly exciting!
I was just telling the class of WONDERFUL ladies last week that Kmart Super Double events used to be one worth setting the alarm for to beat the crown, but each and every time they have had this event since, they have continued to tighten the rules more and more and more. Now, the limits are at the tightest I remember yet.
My friends Laura at Welcome to Savings and Brianne at Just Trying to Save Money have reported that Super Doubles are coming the week of April 4th.
Brianne notes the following rules:
- You must use your Shop Your Way Rewards Card (you can sign up for this on Kmart.com)
- Limit of (5) coupons doubled per day per card.
- Kmart store coupons and Kmart prescription coupons are not included
- Only valid when your Shop Your Way Rewards Card is swiped first
FIVE coupons per day? Better make them worth it is all I have to say. LOL
That rule alone takes this sale from:
“Better believe I’ll be there”
to
“Well, if I’m in the neighborhood and have nothing else to do“.
I say that because I (like so many of you) am busy. I have lots and lots to do on a daily basis so unless it’s something we can’t live without, I am not sure it’s worth my time for 5 items. What are your thoughts?

i was sooo excited to hear they were doing superdouble again and then when i found out there rules not so excited
More than likely this is an event i will not be attending
I agree — especially b/c at my k-mart the regular prices are outrageous. Even with doubling a coupon I can often wait and get it elsewhere much cheaper. Guess I will have to wait and see what is on sale.
I agree too. The rules make it not worth the trip. As most of the times when I did go there was nothing on the shelf. Kmart in Milford is going out of business. So one I doubt that they will even be taking coupons and two if they are going out of business it is a wonder that they are even doing this.
The rules really make it not worth it. The one in Florence never has any of the items left anyway, so double waste of time!
I do think this is a bit too strict but I think something needed to be done to spread the savings out to more consumers. I have tried 3x in the past to attend this sale and each time I walked out totally frustrated, roasting (the store is always so hot) and without a single item! I want/need to save $ but this store is not worth the hassle no matter what! THanks for posting the info!
This is totally still worth it–how would it not be? Double events aren’t just for building a stockpile, they’re also for getting a great deal. With some of the better coupons out there, you can be walking out of Kmart with 5 items of free that otherwise you’d be paying a few $$$’s for. For example, I have a coupon for $1 off of a Glade candle. At Kmart with a double, I’ll be able to grab these free. Same goes for baby products, etc. Since when is free not worth the effort?
I stopped going to the Kmart super doubles awhile ago. Everything was out of stock and the whole store experience was poor. I’d rather go to Wal-mart and that’s saying something. Maybe they WANT to go out of business?
The Shop Your Way card is a good thing…can only benefit you!
And you can win prizes…Can only “win it if you’re in it”.
It doesn’t take long to get a card…
I love any Super Double Coupons!
We don’t have a Kmart where I live. In the past I’ve driven to other counites for the super doubles. I’m not driving that far for 5 items they will probably be out of anyway.
