  2. Share a Back to School tip to help us all make this transition easier.  Your tip(s) may show up on Kleenex’s site!!!
  3. Fill out THIS SCAVANGER HUNT.  The answers can be found in THIS POST (opens in a new window for easy toggling).  Tell us you did this!  You will get TWO entries for this!!

I can’t wait to get your tips and see if you find the items in the scavenger hunt!  ;)   Good luck!!

This giveaway will close August 1st at 8pm.  The winner will be announced and will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected.

Back to school tip: With 3 kids, it has always been a fight with EVERYTHING….sitting by mom, what we are having for bfast, who’s getting the mail…etc. This past year, I sat down with the calendar and started on Jan. 1…I wrote down my youngest’s name on Monday, 2nd child on Tues, oldest on Wed, etc….That day is THEIRS….they decide what we eat, who they sit next to, they get the mail, get to decide when they get their baths (1st, 2nd, or last). The other 2 play rock, paper, scissors. It sounds simple, but has calmed out household down tremendously! And there is NO fight….OH~and Sunday is mine and my hubby’s day~

My back to school tip is an oldie, but a goodie. Pick out EVERYTHING the night before. We pick out her clothes and hang them on the closet door. Beside the closet we put her shoes, socks, hair accessories & her back pack is packed and ready to go. She loves to have her hair done, so we figure out exactly how it’s going to be styled. And, we pick out breakfast the night before. On days that it’s “pack a lunch day”, I get this ready the night before, and have it waiting in the refrigerator, and on her back pack we put a note, saying “Lunch is in the fridge”, so we don’t forget it. When it’s time for her to get up, she gets dressed, while I make the breakfast. Then, it’s do hair, brush teeth and out the door. My daughter doesn’t deal well with change, so this structure works really well for us. :)

Tip: Pack book bags and backpacks the night before, so nothing gets left behind. Also pack lunches the night before and place in fridge to cut down on time in the morning.

Back to School tip: I just have a preschooler right now, he’s going into his 2nd year. We go through his backpack right when we get home and place all his papers for that day in a designated drawer. At the end of the year I put it in a folder for a keepsake.

Back to school tip – on open house night, make a special point to walk the route your child will take in the school from the bus drop off area to their classroom.
Familiarity decreases anxiety!

We have only had 1 year of school in our household, but I have learned to pack her school bag the night before so the morning is not so hectic

I am now a fan of Kleenex. I was already a fan of N-n-D!

We are starting school for the first time this year, so I can’t say that I have any back-to-schools tips to share. I do, however, appreciate all of the tips others have been sharing.

My back to school tip is have the kids help you pack their lunch the night before…that way they get to choose what goes in to it, with hopes that they will actually eat it, and that’s one less hassle in the mornings!
