Back to school tip: With 3 kids, it has always been a fight with EVERYTHING….sitting by mom, what we are having for bfast, who’s getting the mail…etc. This past year, I sat down with the calendar and started on Jan. 1…I wrote down my youngest’s name on Monday, 2nd child on Tues, oldest on Wed, etc….That day is THEIRS….they decide what we eat, who they sit next to, they get the mail, get to decide when they get their baths (1st, 2nd, or last). The other 2 play rock, paper, scissors. It sounds simple, but has calmed out household down tremendously! And there is NO fight….OH~and Sunday is mine and my hubby’s day~
Completed the scavenger hunt…very cute!
My back to school tip is an oldie, but a goodie. Pick out EVERYTHING the night before. We pick out her clothes and hang them on the closet door. Beside the closet we put her shoes, socks, hair accessories & her back pack is packed and ready to go. She loves to have her hair done, so we figure out exactly how it’s going to be styled. And, we pick out breakfast the night before. On days that it’s “pack a lunch day”, I get this ready the night before, and have it waiting in the refrigerator, and on her back pack we put a note, saying “Lunch is in the fridge”, so we don’t forget it. When it’s time for her to get up, she gets dressed, while I make the breakfast. Then, it’s do hair, brush teeth and out the door. My daughter doesn’t deal well with change, so this structure works really well for us.
I’m a fan of both sites.
Finished the scavenger hunt. It was fun!
Tip: Pack book bags and backpacks the night before, so nothing gets left behind. Also pack lunches the night before and place in fridge to cut down on time in the morning.
Fan of the both sites
Scavenger Hunt done! Gotta use the idea for my biz kids camp! Thanks!
Fan of both Kleenex and NnD!
Back to school tip: As mentioned above do everything the night before also when it comes to packing lunches I’ll always have 2 choices then let my daughter decide what she wants so we’re both happy. =)
Completed the scavenger hunt. Cute video!
Kleenex and NnD Fan!
Prepare as much as you can the night before.
Fan of NnD and Kleenex!! LIKE!
Back to School tip: I just have a preschooler right now, he’s going into his 2nd year. We go through his backpack right when we get home and place all his papers for that day in a designated drawer. At the end of the year I put it in a folder for a keepsake.
Back to school tip – on open house night, make a special point to walk the route your child will take in the school from the bus drop off area to their classroom.
Familiarity decreases anxiety!
I completed the scavenger hunt
I am now a fan of Kleenex and have always been a fan of NnD!
We have only had 1 year of school in our household, but I have learned to pack her school bag the night before so the morning is not so hectic

My back to school tip is have the kids help you pack their lunch the night before…that way they get to choose what goes in to it, with hopes that they will actually eat it, and that’s one less hassle in the mornings!
