I’ve been a Mac girl for as long as I can remember. I’ve had an iPhone for the last 4 years and to be quite honest, even though I’ve upgraded my iPhone a few times, I’ve never even looked at another phone…until last month when my Samsung Focus Windows Phone arrived. Oh. my. word. It was love at first site.
From the minute I turned it on and started going through the screens, I was hooked. The Samsung Focus Windows Phone is sooo easy to use. Everything is seamlessly integrated with my social network and so when I go to my contacts, I can call them, email them, text them, or write on their Facebook wall.
It also has an awesome camera! The 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto focus takes razor sharp photos and videos. Check out these photos I took last week in Hawaii. They’re completely unedited. Isn’t the color amazing?
It’s also really easy to share your pictures which my Facebook friends can attest to. There were days that I shared well over 50 photos on my Facebook wall!
While I was happy with all the features of the phone, I was a little worried that I wouldn’t find the kinds of apps I love. It was a needless worry. Check out all these apps that will help you save your hard earned nickels-n-dimes.
Amazon (free): Quickly search, shop, compare prices, read reviews, and make purchases on Amazon.com using a simple, intuitive interface. Amazon is a great resource for finding natural foods and gluten free foods, so this app gets lots of use!
Best Buy (free): Browse the weekly ad, compare product specs, create your tech wish list, find in-store availability and more with the Best Buy app for Windows Phone. (Caution: Do NOT let your husband play with this app! It can be extremely dangerous!)
eBay (free): Keep your bid on top with the eBay application and get real-time updates on your favorite deals so you can be a savvy shopper on the go. I often get extra coupons through eBay!
Groupon (free): Love Groupon but always forget to print your Groupon deals? Yeah, me too! That’s why I love this app so much! The Groupon mobile application gives you the ability to purchase, organize, and use deals directly from your phone. Help save trees with the Groupon app for Windows Phone!
Cellfire Mobile Coupons (free): This app gives you coupons from your favorite brands, letting you save money on every trip to the grocery store. You can easily access deals across multiple grocers and brands – no clipping, no printing, no forgetting.
ShopSavvy (free): Scan the barcode and deals on the particular item will show up in stores around your location. Compare prices to shop or use competitors’ pricing to get price-matching. This app is a must-have app for every day shopping. I’ve already saved quite a bit of money by using it!
Home Depot (free): With the Home Depot application, you can save time and money by browsing over 100,000 products directly through the application. You’ll also find in-store maps and check inventory. (Warning: If you are a DIY girl or are married to someone who loves power tools, you’ll love this app, but you may find that it gets to you in trouble.)
HSN Shop Application (free): Never miss an HSN show again or view and shop the current item on air. Purchase products directly through the app.
Smart Shopping ($1.99): Lets you create an intelligent shopping list that makes any trip to the store easy and fast. Items in your list can be organized by store aisle or item name. Share the list with friends and family, updating it together.
Walgreens (free): Point. Refill. Pick up. Use the camera on your Windows Phone to snap a picture of your medication and get a refill sent to the store closest to you. Seriously…whoever thought of this is brilliant! You can also browse weekly deals and the store’s catalogue.
ContaSconto ($0.99): Simply and intuitively calculate the discount on a purchase.
Tip Pronto (free): Calculate your share of the bill with a quick and easy to use interface. Save history and keep track of what you’ve spent.
Craigslist A+ ($1.99): A sleek and easy-to-use interface for browsing and posting to Craigslist.
Key Ring Rewards Cards (free): Never carry plastic or paper loyalty, membership, and library cards again. Simply scan the barcode to add your cards and you’ll instantly receive coupons when they become available. You’ll be amazed at how much extra room you have on your keychain and in your wallet without all those bulky cards! And if you tend to lose your library card like I do, this can be a real moneysaver since you won’t be constantly paying for replacement cards!
As you can see, there is no shortage of apps on the Samsung Focus Windows Smart Phone to help you save money!
Seriously, I really can’t believe how much I love this phone! And I’m even more excited that one of you is going to win a Samsung Focus with 1 month of service from AT&T AND $250 in gift cards to use in conjunction with the money saving apps on your phone! Yep…you read that right! You’ll get a $50 Amazon gift card, a $50 Best Buy gift card, a $50 eBay gift card, a $50 Home Depot gift card, and a $50 Visa gift card!
