This week has been quite an unusual week around here. As you may know, it takes quite a bit for me to not blog at all and this week brought just that. I was feeling pretty rough earlier this week with illness, but have since gotten antibiotics, lots of rest (before the past 24 hours of course) and I am now getting my “game” back. While I am not 100%, I am slowly getting there.
Yesterday was such a nice day (as I hope yours was too) and today left us scoring some good deals while having lots of fun. My throat is pretty raw all over again tonight, but it’s nothing a good night of sleep and some more meds can’t help.
At this point, we have a 4 year old that sees Christmas lights going up at our neighbors’ houses and so of course, the pressure is on. We have been working hard to get this house clean and tidy before pulling out the endless boxes of Christmas decor.
I am going to be taking the rest of the evening to work on prepping the house for the grand tradition of trimming the tree tomorrow!
I still have a giveaway that I need to post – A GOOD ONE! I am going to try and get that posted after dinner this evening.

We were traveling home today, so I totally missed Black Friday! But my parents were out this evening and were kind enough to stop by Toys ‘R Us to pick up the Leapster we wanted to get our daughter. They saved us about $20!
I think I scored pretty good today and yesterday… even though I had to work today:-)
I went to Big Lots last night to pick up $5 Playstation 2 games. Got one that I had just paid $10 for the night before at Best Buy… so that’s going back…saved myself 5 bucks and found some others I had been looking for much cheaper. Most $5, but none more than $9.98 (Sonic, Barbie, Madagascar, etc.). Then I hit the store again this morning at 6 am for Playstation 2 Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock for $15.88 (game and wireless guitar!). If you missed this deal… you can get Guitar Hero Aerosmith for $19.99 through Walmart.com if they still have it! Just ship to the store and save yourself the $7-8 shipping:-) I’ve picked up both, because after all, you do need 2 guitars for 2 player:-)
I also went to Leapster.com last night and got a bunch of Leapster Games & Leap Frog Click Start Games all $5 and less! Actually way less. Total came to $29 and change for 8 items! Look for codes for $5 off Leapster Games:-)
Also hit up BuildaBear.com for a few items you couldn’t get in the store. On Thanksgiving they had Free Shipping on a $35 order, plus a free $10 Bear Bucks Card:-)
Also made it back to Toys R Us to get $10 back on a doll purchased last week (WooHoo 50% back!) and found Playstation 2 Gamemonkey controllers B1G1F — so picked up 2 for $10.59 – the exact amount of the refund I got on the doll and EXACTLY what I was looking for:-)

I had a fun weekend. We went out of town Friday morning . . . but not before I got some great deals! I got my first ever Coach purse! So excited. Happy day for me. Spent more than I had planned, but hubby convinced me that I deserved it. The bag is bigger than I need, but is also doubling as a diaper bag, so it works.
Also hit the Columbia store at the outlet mall and got hubby a nice jacket and a sweatshirt. Went to Walmart after the rush and got some $3 pajamas for my little guy.
